MILITARY DOGS FIELD MANUALS collection (download)
PDF Ebooks
Dogs have probably been used in hunting and warfare since the paleolithic era, and their formal use in the US military began in World War I. This collection of mainly US Army Field manuals on dog training for various military roles seeks to show the great diversity of tasks dogs have been utilized for.
This Manual collection is packed with over 800+ pages of specialized dog training knowledge. Starting with the U.S. War Dept. "War Dogs" technical manual from 1943, they cover many of the specialized training techniques and methods to prepare a dog for service in battle, "Dog Transportation" is unique too...it goes into great detail on how sled dogs are trained, used and supported in snowy/arctic areas.
